Naoaki Iwamatsu is an industrial designer based in Tokyo, renowned for his ability to infuse contemporary aesthetics and societal awareness into designs using a unique analogical approach. The minimalist and primal forms he conceives stem from his extensive background, merging industrial design expertise with a mastery of design principles cultivated in Kyoto.
Born in Hyogo Prefecture, Takaaki Maeda pursued product design at a university in the Kansai region and independently delved into the realm of car design. Currently employed as a product designer for two home appliance manufacturers in Tokyo, he also operates as an independent designer. His overarching goal is to showcase the best attributes of his client companies to the world in a fitting manner. With a portfolio spanning domestic and international design exhibitions, Takaaki has garnered acclaim, earning numerous prestigious design awards along the way.
