Aduma
From: $1,850.00
Florence Bourel returns to her African roots and cultural inspirations with this Aduma rug, an evocation of tribal art. The white masks of Gabon have had a major influence on modern art, like the famous Fang mask by Vlaminck that Picasso admired so much.
Technique and composition: The rug comes in 3 complementary colors. A terracotta carpet or a carpet in shades of blue, this true cubist painting is now available in a subtle palette of beiges and whites, while retaining its originality. Combining several qualities of wool in different thicknesses, it plays with relief effects and loop/cut textures and is similar to tapestry in the richness of its surface work.
