Phasme – Table Lamp
From: $1,170.00
With its retro-futuristic design, the Phasme is the first model born from the revival of the Rispal house. Drawing from the brand’s DNA, the Phasme incorporates the main characteristics of its ancestor, the Praying Mantis, except the lampshade is made out of mouth blown oplaine. This insect-like lamp can serve as either an office or bedside light. Beyond merely illuminating, this “little creature” exudes a significant presence. The electric cord is in anthracite grey fabric but other colors available upon request.
Georges Léon Rispal founded his lighting company in Paris in 1924, achieving notable success by the early 1950s with the “Formes Nouvelles” catalog, which offered avant-garde lighting influenced by Scandinavian design. Inspired by Rispal’s innovative approach, Douglas Mont relaunched the iconic models, preserving the brand’s original style and avant-garde spirit.
